Actually the formula for photosynthesis process is 6CO 2 + 12H 2 O --------> C 6 H 12 O 6 +6H 2 O +6O 2 I Can change this formula as the simplest as the above 6CO 2 +7H 2 O --------->C 6 H 12 O 6 +H 2 O+6O 2 . I Think there is a rule in chemistry to use the simplest formula only.For that the fomula i write below the original formula is correct or not ?

Thank you for asking!

Here carbon is the limiting reactant whereas water is in excess.So both are correct. But keeping in mind the availability of water molecules in the environment. So it actually depends on the amount of water molecules present. Though we usually use the 1st equation.
