The answer, from the given options, should be A TRIANGLE.
I got it by eliminating the rest of the options.
P.S:- I have checked for the first three options. From them, i haven’t got the answer so I decided to go for the last one.

The locus is a square with vertices (-a, - a), (-a, a)  (a, - a) and (a, a) all the points on this square have either |x|=a or |y| =a
