X is CHI3. Anyone can easily answer this question. You can form a table that contains reactants and products on either sides. Balance the elements according to the number of moles of the reactants and products. Hence in the above reaction, one carbon, one hydrogen`s and three iodine`s are missing. So the missing compound X is Iodoform.
