If the straight line drawn through the point P(√3,2) and making an angle π/2 with the x-axis meets the line √3x-4y+8=0 at Q then the length of PQ is

Dear Harshit,

The equation of the line passing through the point P(√3,2) and making angle of 90 degrees with x axis nothig but the line line x= √3.

Now put this value of x in thegiven equation

we get  √3 * (√3) - 4y + 8 = 0

---> 4y = 11 ---> y = 11/4

so the point is Q( √3 , 11/4 )

Now distance between the points comes out to be |(11/4) - 2| = 3/2.

Prove that tan suquare2/11plus tansquare 3pie /11 plus tansquare 4pie /11plus tan square 5 pie /11. Is equal to 55
Use formulae or identity, tan2A = 2tanA/(1-tan^2A) from here write, tan^2A = 1 – 2tanA/tan2A and apply by taking one by one. the problem would be get sort out to 55.

if f(x).f(1/x) = f(x) + f(1/x) then prove that f(x) = x n + 1
Hii you can find out the value of f(x) and f(1/x) . Multilply f(x) and f(1/x) and then add f(x) and f(1/x). So both these values will be equal.
