a4+ 1/a4 --3
= a4+ 1/a4 – 2 – 1
= (a2 - 1/a2)2 – 1
= (a2 – 1/a2 -1)(a2- 1/a2 + 1) ( using ( a2 – b2) = (a+b)(a-b) )
Difference between the factors = (a2 – 1/a2 -1) –(a2- 1/a2 + 1)
=2 Ans.
