If a,b,c be the sum of n terms of three A.P.'s whose first terms are unity and common difference are in H.P., then express n in terms of a,b,c.

Dear Harshit

let common difference are d1,d2 ,d3

a = n/2[2 +(n-1)d1]  or    1/d1 = n(n-1)/2(a-n)

similerly     1/d2 = n(n-1)/2(b-n)

                1/d3 = n(n-1)/2(c-n)

d1 ,d2 ,d3 are in HP

2/d2 = 1/d1 +1/d2

 n(n-1)/(b-n) = n(n-1)/2(a-n)   +  n(n-1)/2(c-n)

   1/(b-n) = 1/2(a-n)   +  1/2(c-n)

n= (2ac -ab-bc)/(a+c-2b)

Prove that log(ab)x = log(a)x*log(b)x/{log(a)x + log(b)x}
in RHS use the property of base change. in numerator and denominator both. Then in Denominator take LCM and solve it. U would get the LHS.

Find the indefinite integral of f(x) = (x^2 + 3)/((x^6)*(x^2 + 1)) ?
the answer is indefinite integral of f(x) = integral of(x^2 + 3)/((x^6)*(x^2 + 1)) -3/5x^5 + 2/3x^3 – 2/x – 2arctanx + c where c is an arbitrary constant

A man starts from the point P(-3,4) and reaches point Q(0,1) touching x axis at R such that PR+RQ is minimum, then point R is : ???
It can be any point,because for any point on x-axis the sum of the distance is same as that of PQ. i hope u are satisfied. plese post if u r any further doubts.

Assume the point to be (x,0).Using distance formulae calculate the distance.Then we get. PR=[(x+3)^2+4^2]^1/2 and RQ=[x^2+1]^1/2 .Now add PR and RQ .let differentiate the eq and...
