				   10 different books and 2 different pen are given to 3 boys so that each get equal no. of things.Probability that same boy doesn't receive both pens is__________

Dear shefali

probability of same boy doesn't receive both pens = 1 - probabilty of any  boy  receive both pens

since all the student recieves same number of each one get (10+2)/3 =4

number of ways in which 10 books and 2 pen is distributed to 3 student is =12C4 8C4 4C4

 now find the number of ways such that any boy recieve the both pen...

select one boy from 3 and give both pen to him in = 3C1 * 1 ways

 rest two article can be given to this boy in = 10C2 ways

  other 2 boys will get article in 8C4 *4C4 ways

so number of ways such that any boy recieve the both pen= 3C1 * 1*10C2 *8C4 *4C4

so required probability = 1- 3C1 * 1*10C2 *8C4 *4C4 / 12C4 8C4 4C4

Put z = x+iy => |x + iy + 1/(x + iy)| => |[(x+iy)^2 + 1]/(x+iy)| =>|x^2 – y^2 + 2xyi + 1|/|x+iy| => root[(x^2 – y^2 +1)^2 + 1]/root(x^2 + y^2) Now solve it and compare it.

If a polynomial P(x) is divided by x-a, x-b, x-c, we get a,b,c as remainders respectively (x€R). Then what will be the remainder when P(x) is divided by (x-a)(x-b)(x-c)?
Using Remiander theorem f(a) is the remainder when f(x) is divided by x-a when f(x) is divided by q(x) the remainder will be having degree less than q(x) so when P(x) is divided by...

Note that P(a) =a, P(b) = b, and P(c) = c. Hence if we consider the polynomial Q(x) = P(x) – x, we see that Q(a) = Q(b) = Q(c) = 0. By Factor theorem we conclude (x-a)(x-b)(x-c) is a factor ...

If a X b= c X d and a X c= b X d then the vectors a-d and b-c are: a)non-collinear b)linearly independent c)perpendicular d)parallal Please explain how to approach these type of quesions
subtracting the two we have hence hence for such a situation to occur the vectors a-d and b-c are parallal
