in triangle ABC, AB=AC B(3,6) C(7,12) G is centroid of tri.ABC .G moves on line x-y=1.find coordinates of G

Dear ajinkya

G moves on line x-y=1

so let G is (h,h-1)

since AB =AC

so G is symittrical about B and C

so GB =GC

    GB2 =GC2

 (h-3)2 + (h-1-6)2  = (h-7)2 +(h-1-12)2

 (h-3)2 + (h-7)2  = (h-7)2 +(h-13)2

(h-3)  = (h-13)2

 open square

 h = 8

 so G =(8,7)
