From geometry, the angle of refraction from the first surface in this case will be equal to the prism angle as shown in figure.

From Snell’s law,

sin i=\mu sinA
SinceAis small,

sin A\approx A
\implies sin r=\mu A
\implies r\approx sin r=\mu A
