you have thaught very earlier ,of gate examination , 
in first year you should focus on your basics , 
serious preperation start from second year , where you get topic like analog, digital , signals which is the base for all big topics , so study that topic very sincerly , go to basics , if you will do these basic subjects then you need not to panic much after that , and do practice regularly , target 10 question per day from now onwards , i assure you will get under 100,
