hey charul....i suggest you skip IT branch bcs it is one of mose beaten up branch these days..
moreover you have fairly good chance of getting into core branches in other top NITs...try out branches like chemical civil and mechenical in nit trichy and suratkal....also try out cs and ece in your home state NIT.....actually i suggest you to take full advantage of it and get the best branch avialable in your state nit in case it is good..
