sir, askiitians expert Mr.Kishore frm IIT Bombay has replied to someone's ques stating that for HS candidates 1ly state rank is used and so even if a candidate's AIR is poor he/she has a fair chance 2 get into the NITs thru state rank.He says this has happened to one of his friends. Is this true ?

Dear Priya,

Yes thats true .. if u got poor AI rank and HS rank is fine .. then you can get NIT of your state .. as there are 50 % seats in all the NITs are reserved for the Home state students ..
