Erythrocytes which are named as red blood cells(RBCs) of the body are one of the cells of our blood. The respiratory pigment of these cells is haemoglobin which is an iron containing pigment of our RBCs.Its an oxygen carrier in our blood that supply oxygen to each and every cell of our body from the lungs as a result of which cells undergo respiration releasing energy for our body and brings carbon dioxide from the cells to the lungs that expelled from the body through the expiration.
