let edge of cube be "a" surface area of cube =6a^2 after the increase, the new edge= a+a*50/100 which is equal to =3a/2 the new suface area =6*(3a/2)^2 =27a^2/2 increased percentage = 27a^2/2-6a^2/6a^2*100 which is equal to 125 %
