Hello friend,
The phenomenon of bouncing back of light when it hits polished surface is called reflection.
Soil profile is defined as the vertical section of soil from the ground surface downwards to where the soil meets the underlying rock.

WHEN LIGHT FALL ON A POLISHED SURFACE A PARTIAL OR COMPLETE BOUNCING BACK OF LIGHT TAKES PLACE.THIS PHENOMENON IS CALLED REFLECTION OF LIGHT.
