KCET 2012 General Information

KCET 2012 is an entrance examination conducted each year for various undergraduate courses like Engineering/ Medical/ Architecture/ Dental etc in various colleges and universities in Karnataka. KCET is organized and conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority).

Admission through KCET is open only for Karnataka residents however there are some seats reserved for non Karnataka students under management quota. 

Eligible candidates of Karnataka and Jammu & Kashmir migrants are invited for registration for “Karnataka CET 2012″ for admissions to first year Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering / Technology Courses. The seats for admissions will be notified by the Government in the Professional Educational Institutions in the state of Karnataka for the academic year 2012 – 2013.

Candidates who wish to apply to the Medical, Dental, Ayurveda, Homoeopathy, Unani, Naturopathy & Yoga, Engineering / Technology Courses must appear for the PCB subjects in the Common Entrance Test conducted by the Karnataka Examinations Authority, Bangalore.

The merit of the candidates will be determined as per the provision of the “Karnataka Selection of Candidates for Admission to Government Seats in Professional Educational Institutions Rules, 2006”.

The Kannada Language Test is only for Gadinadu Kannadiga Candidates and Horanadu Kannadiga Candidates will be conducted in the last week of April, 2012 at 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM respectively.
