To encourage young minds seeking engineering admissions in the country, the government of India has established three major entrance examination schemes – AIEEE (now known as JEE Main), IIT JEE (now known as JEE Advanced) and SLEEE (State Level Engineering Entrance Exams). The AIEEE and the JEE are conducted on a national level while the SLEEE is conducted on a state level.

Karnataka Engineering Entrance Exam - Karnataka CET
Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA), Bangalore conducts Karnataka Common Entrance Test (also known as Karanataka CET or K-CET as an admission process for its professional courses. Karnataka CET is an entry point to the full-time medical, dental, engineering, technology and architecture programs conducted by government or private educational institutions and universities of Karnataka.
Kerala Engineering Entrance Exam - KEAM
The Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) Exam, also known as the Kerala Common Entrance Examination (Kerala CEE) is a gateway to professional courses conducted by government and private institutions in Kerala including engineering, medical, architecture, veterinary, and agriculture and allied courses. It is conducted by the Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala once a year.
VIT University Engineering Entrance Exam - VITEEE

Maharashtra Health and Technology Common Entrance Test - MHT CET
The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test (MHT CET) is conducted by the Director of Medical Education and Research (DMER), Mumbai, which is designated as the Competent Authority for the written examinations by the Government of Maharashtra. It is a single exam conducted for selection to all the degree courses in Engineering, Health Science, Pharmacy, and Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry.
Uttar Pradesh Technical University State Entrance Examination - UPTU SEE
UPTU State level Entrance Examination (SEE) is conducted every year in Delhi, parts of Uttarakhand and all over UP. About 2,15,000 students appear for UPTU SEE, out of which 50,000 students are admitted every year.
Punjab Technical University Common Entrance Test - PTU CET
Punjab Technical University (PTU) conducts PTU CET for the state of Punjab that allows students to get admissions in the all colleges that are affiliated to PTU based on the results of PTU CET.
WBJEE, common entrance test for admission to different degree level courses in engineering & Technology, Pharmacy and Architecture in the institutes in West Bengal.
Director of Technical Education, Assam, conducts Assam Joint Admission Test(Assam JAT) for admissions in the under graduate professional courses. The Engineering Colleges, Medical Colleges, Regional Dental College and Ayurvedic College in the State of Assam and NIT (Assam state quota) provide admissions through JAT Assam.
Bharati Vidyapeeth All India Engineering Entrance Examination:
Admissions in Bharati Vidyapeeth, Pune, are based on All India Entrance Test conducted for admission to BE/B.Tech. in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Industrial Electronics Engineering., Civil Engineering., Electrical Engineering., Chemical Engineering., Mech. Engineering and Production Engineering.
Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) Engineering Entrance Examination:

Sathyabama University Entrance Examination: Sathyabama University conducts All India Level Entrance Examination to invite admissions in its various courses.
IP university CET:
Admissions in IP University are purely based on CET merit.
Tamilnadu common entrance test is conducted for admissions in MCA, M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., MBA and ME. TANCET is conducted by Anna University (Chennai).
