PTU CET Exam Pattern and Duration of the Exam
PTU CET is conducted in three sessions with no breaks in-between the sessions. Each session is of 40 minutes duration.
The question papers have 40 multiple choice and objective type questions with four options and only one correct answer. Each question carries one mark. Indicating more than one option as the correct answer is deemed to be an incorrect response.
Scoring and Grading of PTU CET Exams
Separate merit lists are prepared for Engineering and Pharmacy streams. In case of a tie, the preference to a candidate is accorded in the following order:
o Aggregate score of all the three papers,
o Aggregate score of Compulsory Papers,
o Score in Physics,
o Score in Mathematics for Engineering courses and Score in Chemistry for Pharmacy courses,
o Seniority in age,
o Percentage of marks in Metric or Class 10th (provisional, subject to verification of marks)
PTU CET Exam Fees
General Category students have to pay Rs 1000/- while applying for PTU CET while SC/ST candidates have to pay only Rs 500/-. Fees can be deposited at:
* UCO Bank,
* Punjab National Bank (PNB),
* Axis Bank, or
* HDFC Bank.
One of the slips that you receive at the bank is to be attached with the completed application form at the time of submission. The fees is non-refundable and will not be accepted in any other form - cash, cheque, postal order or demand draft.
