| B.Arch, B.Planning |
Paper 2 |
Mathematics Aptitude Test Drawing Test |
AIEEE Exam Pattern and Duration of the Exam
Each AIEEE paper is of 3 hours duration. You have approximately 1 minute 40 seconds to solve each question.
AIEEE Paper 1: It has 105 objective type questions with 35 questions each for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
AIEEE Paper 2: It has 3 sections:
- Mathematics: This section has objective-type questions.
- Aptitude: This section also has objective-type questions.
- Drawing: This section has two questions to evaluate candidate’s drawing aptitude
The Aptitude test accesses candidate's architectural awareness, and his abilities of perception, observation and creativity.
Scoring and Grading of AIEEE Exams
In Paper 1, each question is of 3 marks. There are a total of 105 marks for each subject (Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics) and a total score of 315 for the paper.
AIEEE has negative marking policy. For each wrong question, ¼ marks is deducted. No marks are deducted for the questions that have not been attempted. If two options have been chosen in one question, then it is considered as incorrect and will be marked negatively.
The merit list is compiled separately at national level (All India Ranking) and state level (State Ranking). For Engineering and Technical courses, candidates are compared for their scores in Mathematics, followed by their scores in Physics, and then their age (with older candidates being given the preference). For Architectural and Planning courses, candidates are compared for their scores in Aptitude Test, followed by their scores in Mathematics, and then their age (with older candidates being given the preference).
