AIEEE Eligibility Criteria

Who all should appear for the AIEEE Exams?

 Students who have passed 10+2 level examination or any examination considered equivalent by the Association of Indian Universities are eligible to take AIEEE. Candidates appearing for Class XII examinations may also appear for AIEEE and will be given provisional admission, if selected.

Candidates appearing for AIEEE should be less than 25 years of age on October 01 of the present year. Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Physically Handicapped (PH) students are allowed a relaxation of 5 years and are eligible for the AIEEE exams up to 30 years of age.

However, the age of candidates appearing for the Army Institute of Technology (AIT), Pune must be between 16 and 21 years on 01 July of the present year. War widows of any age seeking admission into AIT can appear for AIEEE, if they fulfill other eligibility conditions and physical fitness requirements. Only candidates who are Indian citizens and children of Army personnel are eligible to seek admission in the AIT.

 

For admission to B. Tech. / B. Planning / B.E./ B. Arch. following are the subjectcombinations required in the qualifying examination:

AIEEE Exam Fees

General Category students appearing for either BE/B.Tech or B.Arch/B.Planning examinations have to pay Rs 450/- for the examination while SC/ST students have to pay Rs 225/-.

 General Category students, who choose to appear in both exams at once, have to pay Rs 800/- while SC/ST students have to pay Rs 375/-.

 Candidates also have to pay additional postal charges of Rs 50/-. Demand Draft should be sent in favor of Secretary, CBSE, payable at Delhi.

How many times you can give the exam?

A candidate can appear for AIEEE up to three times at the most.

The total number of attempts for all the candidates, without any exception, would be limited to 03 in consecutive years. Thus, candidates who passed class 12th in 2009 or 2010 are also eligible to take AIEEE- 2011. But any candidate passing class 10th in 2008 or before is not eligible.

Are calculators allowed?

Calculators, mobile phones, pager, slide rules or any electronic devices are not allowed inside the examination room during AIEEE.
