EAMCET 2010 AND ANDHRA CET 2010 DATES OUT
EAMCET 2010 will be held on 30th May,2010 this year. The Engineering Agriculture and Medicine Common Entrance Exam(EAMCET 2010) gives a gateway to many government and non-Government Colleges in Andhra Pradesh for many professional courses like medical, dental, engineering, architecture streams. The Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNT) conducts EAMCET on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (ASPCHE).
In 2009 the State Government announced that EAMCET will also consider25% of the marks scored in the Intermediate Public Examination (IPE) or 10+2 would be considered. For the coming years most importantly EAMCET 2010 the weightage allotted to IPE marks would increase. The students of 2010-11 will be benefited since the demand of pharmacy has increased and the students of the first year have been restricted to take EAMCET papers for practice therefore the number of applicants for engineering and medical seats have gone down.
Apart from the EAMCET, other dates have been announced by Mr. Sridhar Babu, including ICET (Integrated Common Entrance exam), Ed-CET (Education Common Entrance Exam), ECET (Engineering Common Entrance Exam), LAWCET (Law Common Entrance Exam), PECET (Physical Education Common Entrance Exam), PGECET (Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Exam) and PGLCET(Post Graduate Law Common Entrance Exam).
ANDHRA ALLOWS NRI’S FOR EAMCET
The Government of Andhra Pradesh has decided to allow the NRI (non-resident students) to give EAMCET 2010. This decision was made by the Government on the Dec 7th and now based on the marks the students can apply for the courses like Dental, Engineering, and Medical etc. under the covenor quota. But at present the NRI candidates can only get admission under the management quota which is restricted to 30% and the tuition fee is nearly 3times to what it is under the covenor quota. In the covenor quota the tuition fee for the engineering and the pharmacy courses is Rs.30,200 per annum and the tuition fee for the medical course in the covenor quota is Rs.55,000 pa.
