IIT JEE 2010 Cutoffs

The date for the Joint Entrance Exam (IIT JEE 2010) held every year has been announced earlier and the exam is going to take place on the scheduled date that is 11 April, 2010. The paper pattern for IIT JEE 2010 has not been altered and it will be the usual with 2 papers and 3 Sections each i.e IIT JEE Physics, IIT JEE Mathematics and IIT JEE Chemistry.

Over 10,000 students qualified for the IITs in 2009 but the highest number of students was from Mumbai 2,831 and this year the expected results of IIT JEE 2010 are expected to rise. The number of questions was 120 in 2009 and in 132 in 2008 therfore for IIT JEE 2010 also the questions will be in the same range. Students who will opt for the both the PAPERS i.e A and B will be considered for ranking. The cutoff that was expected for 2009 was 172. It can be divided into various categories – General Category/OBC 172, SC/ST–103.2 and PD -154. Hope this year’s cutoff bring a smile to many faces.
